Quick clicks, less searching

Links

A handy collection of scuba resources (and a few favorites) we think you’ll actually use.

Sometimes you don’t need a sales pitch—you just need a good link.

This page is our home for helpful scuba and swimming resources you might want while you’re planning training, brushing up on skills, shopping for gear, or daydreaming your next trip. We keep it simple on purpose: a curated starting point so you can spend less time digging and more time doing.

If there’s a link you expected to find here (or one that’s outdated), tell us. We’d rather fix it fast than let you click around in circles.

Start here: the “official stuff”

When you’re looking for definitive guidance—standards, medical considerations, or broad industry information—the most reliable starting point is usually an official organization. These links can help you get your bearings before you go deeper.

  • Diver training agencies: Look up course pathways, continuing education options, and general training information.
  • Diving medical guidance: If you have health-related questions, use reputable diving medicine resources to understand what to ask a medical professional.
  • Local and national park/lake sites: Great for rules, access updates, hours, and seasonal notes (especially when you’re planning ahead).

Do the homework first

Plan a dive day: conditions, access, and common sense checks

Good dives start with good planning. Before you travel, pack the car, or make the group chat promises, it helps to verify conditions and logistics from sources that update frequently.

Here are the types of resources we recommend bookmarking:

  • Weather forecasts for your specific destination (not just your city)
  • Water conditions where available (temperature, visibility reports, recent trip notes)
  • Site access info (closures, permits, hours, parking guidance)

We’re big fans of checking more than one source—especially when the forecast is borderline. When in doubt, choose the plan that keeps the day fun and low-stress.

Read, watch, improve

Learn and nerd out (the good kind)

Whether you’re brand new or you’ve been underwater for years, there’s always something new to learn—technique tips, equipment explanations, marine life ID, travel inspiration, and plenty of “I didn’t know that” moments.

A few directions you can explore:

  • Skill refreshers and continuing education reads
  • Gear basics and maintenance explainers (to help you ask better questions when you’re shopping or troubleshooting)
  • Underwater environment and marine life resources (so you can recognize what you’re seeing and treat it with respect)

If you’re ever unsure whether something you read online applies to your situation, bring it to us and we’ll help you think it through.

Travel ideas and local community

Diving is better with people. If you’re looking to meet other divers, find events, or explore destinations, community and travel resources can be a great next click.

Consider looking for:

  • Local dive community calendars and clubs
  • Destination guides for regions you’re researching
  • Environmental and conservation groups doing work you can support

If you have a favorite local resource you think belongs on this page, we’re happy to review it.

Looking for something specific?

If you landed here because you expected a particular link from our site footer, you’re in the right place—but we may need your help to make it perfect. Send us the name of the resource you were trying to reach, and we’ll do our best to point you the right direction (and update this page if it should live here).

In the meantime, you can also head back to the rest of the site to find training, gear, and shop information.
